GLOBAL SETTINGS
The Machinedrum offers 8 different global settings positions. The multiple global setups are
useful for using the Machinedrum in more than one setup. You can have one setup for stu-
dio use and another for live use, or maybe several different setups for different parts of your
live set.
The items listed below are available in a the GLOBAL SETTINGS menu.
• MIDI base channel
• TRACK/PATTERN mappings for a MIDI keyboard
• Local control on or off
• Program change settings
• Mechanical settings (MKII units only)
• Output routings of tracks
• Trig settings
• Sysex send of pattern, song and kit data
• Sysex receive of pattern, song and kit data
• Sample manager (Machinedrum UW models only)
• +Drive settings (+Drive models only)
• Tempo and Sync settings
• Turbo menu
To select a global setting and edit it:
1. Press [
FUNCTION] and then the [PATTERN/SONG] key to open the GLOBAL SET-
TINGS menu.
2. Go to the global setting slot you wish to use, and press [ENTER/YES] to select it.
3. If you wish to enter the menu for the selected slot, you can either press [ENTER/YES]
once more or move the focus to the ENTER field and press [ENTER/YES].
TURBO MENU
The TURBO menu, only available in OS 1.53 and higher, allows you to use the Turbo pro-
tocol when connecting the Machinedrum to other units that have the Turbo protocol imple-
